A consistent Delhi Capitals will face a rather lucky Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator match of IPL 2019 at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. Delhi finished third in the points table with nine wins from 14 games while Sunrisers just about managed to sneak in with 12 points, thanks to a better run rate than Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab.

Delhi have had a rare seaosn where they have been highly consistent. The change in personnel, with fresh faces coming in, has helped while Shreyas Iyer has led well and has performed with the bat too. With regards to their batting, it has been the exploits of Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and, to some extent Prithvi Shaw, that have been mainly responsible for the side finding themselves in such a great position.

What has been most impressive about Delhi's performance has been their away form. They defeated Mumbai, Punjab, Bangalore, Rajasthan as well as Hyderabad when playing in the opponents' home den. Their bowling however has not been as consistent as one would expect it to be. Delhi would also want to guard against any sort of batting collapses like they experienced earlier in the league.

Sunrisers would be keen to make the most of their backdoor entry into the final four. For that as well they would need to thank their openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, who played some stunning knocks to keep Sunrisers' flag flying high. While neither is any longer available for the team, it is thanks to their sizzling knocks that Hyderabad managed to achieve a higher run rate, which eventually made the big difference.

What Kane Williamson would want is for the others to now stand up and deliver. He played an excellent knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore but it was to be in vain as their bowlers just could not get into any sort of momentum after taking out Bangalore's premier batsmen in Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The bowlers will have to lift themselves from the RCB thrashing.
