According to some media reports, India Skipper MS Dhoni and senior batsman Virender Sehwag are all set to bury their differences. It is highly likely that Dhoni, Sehwag and others could come up with a press conference stating that the team is all united and that there are no ill-feeling amongst the players. If Dhoni and Sehwag do come up with such a statement then it could really stun a section of the media which has been carrying stories and stories of a possible clash between the two big cricketers of Team India.
The possible press conference could be held on Saturday at Sydney just a day ahead of the important match against Australia. It is learnt that the BCCI has asked Secretary Sanjay Jagdale to step in and resolve the matter.
It was the Australian media that first started stories about a clash between MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag during the Test Series. That story was denied by Team India and also the Indian media which accused its Australian counterparts of indulging in cheap mind games. But in the last few days of the CB Series following the infamous rotation policy applied by MS Dhoni on his three senior openers, even the Indian media has started to report on the possible difference of opinions and ego clashes in the Indian team. To make matters worse, there appeared to be counter statements from Dhoni, Gambhir and Sehwag in public domain indirectly against each other.
Team India has been struggling to get going in the ongoing Triangular Series. It’s in a must win situation in the remaining two matches to have any chance of making it to the Final.
