India Skipper MS Dhoni finds himself ranked as the 31st Richest Sportsman in the World according to the Forbes Highest Paid Athletes for the year 2012. Dhoni’s total earnings are estimated to be USD 26.5 million according to Forbes. The Indian Captain is believed to be earning 23 million out of that from just endorsements.
Dhoni is way ahead of Sachin Tendulkar, who is ranked at 78 with an estimated earnings of USD 18.6 million. Interestingly, Dhoni and Tendulkar are the only cricketers to find their names in the top 100 highest paid athletes!
For the record, American boxer - Floyd Joy Mayweather, Jr. is the highest paid athlete with total earnings of USD 85 million. Dhoni, who is of course way behind him with USD 26.5 million has done well to overtake the likes of Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic.
