Sachin Tendulkar finally scores his elusive 100th international century!

The 38-year-old Sachin Tendulkar has registered his landmark 100th International Century today against Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka in the Micromax Asia Cup 2012.

Little Master Sachin Tendulkar created yet another record today when he brought up the much anticipated 100th international century! The 38-year-old Tendulkar scored this record hundred today at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka against hosts Bangladesh in the 3rd Match of the Micromax Asia Cup 2012. Sachin had to wait for more than a year and to be precise 33 international innings before he got to the historical moment!

Tendulkar has been disappointing fans by not getting his 100 in tough conditions in England and Australia where India was whitewashed in the Test series. However, his 100th century came against a weak Bangladeshi attack.

The greatness of this achievement from Tendulkar is that no other player is expected to match this unique record in years to come by. Tendulkar who made his international debut at a tender age of 16 against some of the most fearsome fast bowlers has played 188 Tests, 462 ODIs and 1 T20I to score his 100th international centuries in a career that has lasted 23 years already! Tendulkar has got 51 centuries in Tests and 49 centuries in ODIs including today’s record making hundred against Bangladesh.
