CAPE TOWN: Sachin Tendulkar reached his 51st test century on Tuesday with a top-edged hook for six on the third day of the third and deciding test between India and South Africa.
He drove a boundary off the next delivery from Morne Morkel to take India to 247 for five in reply to South Africa's 362.
Tendulkar has also scored 46 one-day international centuries.
Sachin's Test hundreds to international hundreds, as the Mumbaikar is now just three tons adrift from the magical 100 international tons. He had 95 tons under his belt when he arrived in South Africa and scored two in the three-Test series to take it to 97 (51 in Tests and 46 in one-dayers).
