Sri Lanka skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan won the toss and decided to bat first in the fourth ODI against Australia at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
Both the teams made one change each to their respective playing eleven. The home side included young leg-spinner Seekkuge Prasanna, who was flown back from England where he was a part of Sri Lanka's A side, for Jeevan Mendis.
Australia brought in top-order batsman Shaun Marsh in place of leg-spinner Steve Smith.
Sri Lanka had earlier trimmed down their squad to 14 from 16 after dropping left-arm spinner Rangana Herath, all-rounder Thisara Perera and batsman Dinesh Chandimal.
Earlier, Upul Tharanga hit a century and Lasith Malinga took five wickets to propel Sri Lanka to a crushing 78-run win against Australia in the third ODI on Tuesday.
The win kept alive Sri Lanka's hopes of winning the five-match series after Australia won the first two.
