Thilan Samaraweera is the Man of the Match for scoring an unbeaten century. Well it was a good knock but got to say that conditions in the latter half were tailor-made for batsmen. Samara frustrated the Indians with plenty of late cuts off the spinners and that was very critical for SL in this chase. |

It wasn't a bad effort from the Indians as they made a match out of it despite scoring only 280. The bowlers did reasonably well in the dew conditions. However in the end, the ball seemed to be slipping out too often and quite a lot of easy full tosses were sprayed around. Credit goes to Samaraweera for keeping the momentum against the spinners early on. |

India fell short by some 40 runs as they lost wickets needlessly at the start and towards the end of their innings. The pace bowlers were too unlucky not to get the outside edges with the new ball and SL did well after that through Sangakkara and Samaraweera. |

So then a good contest it was between both the sides. In the end it seemed that the lusty hitting Perera made the difference and Samaraweera has kept his cool to take SL home in this chase. |
