West Indies crushed Zimbabwe by a huge margin of 156 runs in their opening match of their 3-match ODI Series at Grenada. Asked to bat first after losing the toss, West Indies piled up 337 for 4 in the allotted 50 overs with opener Johnson Charles scoring 130 (from 111 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes) and Darren Bravo scoring 100* (from just 71 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes).

In reply, Zimbabwe could come up with a weak 181 for 9 following a batting collapse at the top. Craig Ervine scored 41 (from 51 balls with 4 fours and a six) and Malcolm Waller scored 51 (from 75 balls with 6 fours) helped Zimbabwe to respectability from a disastrous position of 34 for 4. For the hosts, Sunil Narine took 3 for 28 while Skipper Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell chipped in with two wickets each.
