Former Madhya Pradesh and Railways player Raja Ali was found dead in Bhopal on Sunday night under mysterious conditions.

Former Madhya Pradesh and Railways player Raja Ali was found dead in Bhopal on Sunday night under mysterious conditions. Ali is just 36 years of age. News reports claim that Raja Ali was found dead while sitting on a bike. Police have later said that the cricketer died of a cardiac arrest.

The left-handed Raja Ali had played in 87 first-class games representing Madhya Pradesh and Railways. He scored 4337 runs at a decent average of 38.38 while registering 9 centuries and 22 50s. Raja Ali has also played in 54 List A games scoring a century and 8 fifties at an impressive average of 42.32.

Raja Ali made his first class debut in 1996/97 and his first class career ended in 2008 playing for Railways.
