Having lost the ODI Series already by a margin of 0-3, New Zealand will be seeking a consolation win in this afternoon’s final match at Hambantota to save themselves from a cleansweep. New Zealand haven’t really played at their best with some of its players recovering from stomach bugs while the inclement weather in Sri Lanka hasn’t inspired them at all.

The Final ODI at Hambantota is also likely to be hit by rain. So the team that bats second will exactly know what it has to chase according to the Duckworth Lewis Method. Sri Lanka could go into this match with some experiments. New Zealand on the other hand would just hope to get rid of this ODI Series as soon as possible and start concentrating on the following 2-Test Match Series.

Sri Lanka Squad: Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal, Kumar Sangakkara (Wicket Keeper), Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews, Mahela Jayawardene (Captain), Jeevan Mendis, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Lasith Malinga, Akila Dananjaya Perera, Shaminda Eranga, Tharindu Kaushal, Chamara Kapugedera

New Zealand Squad: Rob Nicol, BJ Watling (Wicket Keeper), Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor (Captain), Kane Williamson, James Franklin, Nathan McCullum, Andrew Ellis, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Trent Boult, Ronnie Hira, Kyle Mills, Tom Latham, Jacob Oram
