India A defeated the touring West Indies A by 77 runs in the First Unofficial ODI at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Yuvraj Singh, who is leading the team in this 3-match series scored a swashbuckling 123 from just 89 balls with 8 fours and 7 sixes.

India A defeated the touring West Indies A by 77 runs in the First Unofficial ODI at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Yuvraj Singh, who is leading the team in this 3-match series scored a swashbuckling 123 from just 89 balls with 8 fours and 7 sixes. Yusuf Pathan was equally destructive with a blistering knock of 70 from 32 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes.

The hosts piled up 312 for 4 in 42 overs with the match curtailed due to rain early on. Also amongst the runs for the Indians was Mandeep Singh with a 78-ball 67 (with 7 fours and a six). West Indies A were pegged back at 139 for 5 in 23.5 overs in their run chase.

A couple of half centuries from Narsingh Deonarine (57 from 63 balls) and no.8 Ashley Nurse (57 from 50 balls) could only help in reducing the margin of defeat. West Indies A were bowled out for 235 in 39.1 overs with most of the Indian bowlers getting amongst the wickets.
