News Update on Tim Bresnan : Pakistan Vs England, 1st Jazz Cup Test at Dubai

World No.1 Test team England is eagerly awaiting on Tim Bresnan’s fitness ahead of the First Jazz Cup Test against Pakistan at Dubai which is to start on the 17th of this month. The 26-year-old Tim Bresnan is suffering from an elbow discomfort in his right hand. The all-rounder had a surgery on the same elbow a month ago.

Tim BresnanBresnan will sit out of today’s 3-day warm-up match against a combined ICC Associate team. News reports suggest that for Bresnan to figure in the playing XI in the First Jazz Cup Test, he will have to play and prove his fitness in the second warm-up match against PCB XI next Wednesday. England's Skipper Andrew Strauss is quoted to have said in the press : 'Tim Bresnan, in particular, has still got a bit of swelling in his elbow as a reaction to his operation, so he's not quite ready yet. We're aiming for the second warm-up game with him.'

The 26-year-old Yorkshireman Tim Bresnan has so far played 10 Tests ever since making his Debut in 2009. Interestingly, England has gone onto win in all the 10 Tests that Bresnan has gone onto play which certainly has helped them to go past India to become the World No.1 team. Bresnan certainly has a role in those 10 win with 41 wickets at an average of just 23.60, a strike rate of 49.5 to go along with his 318 runs with the bat at an average of 45.42! England certainly has found a new Freddie (Andrew) Flintoff in Bresnan!
