“I would love it, I would love Sourav to be an integral part. You don’t have a team in Kolkata without him. So, I will speak to Dada when I get back,” Shah Rukh said. Ganguly was disappointed after none of the 10 IPL teams expressed interest in him.

On Sunday some of the fans of Ganguly had burnt posters and replicas of Shahrukh on the streets of Kolkata. The fans were apparently angry as Dada was not taken in the team. Saurav had represented the Kolkata Knigt riders in the last season.

However Shahrukh remained silent and refused to comment on the reason Ganguly was not selected by any of the team owners. The actor added that none of the owners can really comment on the non selection of the player.
