South African skipper HashimAmla won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Twenty20 against Australia at the Newlands here on Thursday.
Graeme Smith will open the batting with Amla, while Colin Ingram, JP Duminy and Miller will give solidity to the middle-order. LonwaboTsotso will lead the bowling attack with MorneMorkel.
For Australia, the New South Wales opening pair of Shane Watson and David Warner will start the innings while Shaun Marsh, David Hussey and captain Cameron White will take the responsibility in the middle innings. Doug Bollinger will start the proceedings for the visitors in the bowling department.
The two sides will play two Twenty20 matches before getting involved in the five-match ODI series. They will also lock their horns in two Tests following the limited-over series.
