Hosts Bangladesh faced an embarrassing defeat in front of a huge crowd after they were bundled out for a sorry 58 in 18.5 overs having won the toss and electing to bat first! West Indies got the target done and dusted in 12.2 overs losing one wicket. The match lasted at the most two and a half hours!

Bangladesh's woes started in the third ball of the match when Tamim Iqbal edged Kemar Roach into the slips. It was a procession after that with none of the Bangladeshi batsmen able to last any long in the middle. While Kemar Roach and Darren Sammy took three wickets each, left arm spinner Sulieman Benn took four wickets.

Chris Gayle helped himself to an unbeaten 37 from 36 balls in the easy run chase. The Man of the Match interestingly went to Kemar Roach instead of Sulieman Benn.
