Chasing a modest 208 to win, Australia beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the second one-day international at MahindaRajapaksa Stadium on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Earlier, seamer Doug Bollinger led Australia's pace attack with three wickets to restrict Sri Lanka to a modest total.
The left-armer dismissed DineshChandimal, Anjelo Mathews and tailenderLasithMalinga to finish with 3-35. Seamers Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson picked up two wickets each.
Former captain Kumar Sangakkara was the top scorer for the hosts with 52.
Sri Lanka got off to a steady start after winning the toss with openers UpulTharanga and TillakaratneDilshan sharing 37 runs for the first wicket before Lee broke through, bowling Dilshan for 24 runs with an elegant inswinger.
Johnson who returned a career-best six wickets in the first match and was named player of the match, had Tharanga caught behind by wicketkeeper Brad Haddin for 13 runs with just four more runs added to the total.
Tharanga lowered the bat trying to leave a rising delivery but the ball brushed his glove before being caught by Haddin.
MahelaJayawardene made 17 before sweeping left-arm spinner Xavier Doherty for a catch to Mike Hussey at deep mid-wicket. Bollinger forced an edge off Chandimal to Haddin for his first wicket to leave the hosts vulnerably placed at 77-4.
But Sangakkara and Anjelo Mathews steadied the innings with a 63-run partnership.
Sangakkara hit a six and a boundary for his 52 runs off 85 balls before hitting a full toss from off spinner David Hussey to Johnson at long-on. His dismissal exposed the tail and the host team lost the remaining five wickets for 68 runs.
Mathews made 35 and tailenderNuwanKulasekara made 34.
Australia fielded an unchanged side after winning the first one-dayer to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. Sri Lanka was bolstered by the return of pace bowler LasithMalinga from injury. He replaces seamer SurangaLakmal. Left-arm spin bowler RanganaHerath has been recalled replacing off spinner SurajRandiv.
