Haryana are on the mat in their Group B Ranji Elite match against Gujarat after being bundled out for a paltry 207 in 74.2 overs on Day 1. At the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat, Haryana seemed to have fought back by dislodging Skipper Parthiv Patel for a duck in the very ball of the Gujarat innings but the hosts recovered towards stumps at 46 for 1 in 13 overs.
Earlier, Haryana who won the toss and elected to bat first were pegged back by the pace trio of IshwarChaudhary (3 for 50), left-armerAshrafMakda (2 for 23) and Mehul Patel (4 for 59). The top scorer in the low scoring Haryana innings was one down bat Sunny Singh who scored 69 from 122 balls with 11 fours.
