Krunal Pandya is the Man of the Match

Rohit Sharma: Much needed win. We were not playing consistent cricket. We wanted to play positive cricket today. Scoring 200 on that wicket was challenging but you saw the result in the end. We wanted to play a game like that, wanted to win with a big margin. Everything went according to the plan, perfect day for us. Krunal Pandya played a brilliant knock and played some fearless cricket. Everytime you back yourselves, you will get the results. He will remember that knock for a long time. Scoring 200 and defending like that was perfect. Guptill played a great innings too. We want to be in tough situations. For the last few years, when I have been the captain, it has never been easy. We haven't played consistent cricket, but when we have played, we have played very well.

Zaheer Khan: Yes, 200 is always tough to chase. Having said that, it was a tough day for the bowlers. Off day for us as a bowling unit. Credit to Rohit for taking on the spinners early and didn't let us execute our bowling plans. We lacked a third seamer to attack when Pandya was going. He played well and their plan came off well. We want to stay positive. We have this young energy and that is key, especially at the back end of this tournament. 3 games is enough to win 2 out of 3. The advantage is that we play home games at Raipur and the trick will be to win the next one.
