Clarke: Fantastic crowd. The support we are having has been great. The weather was not too good today. Not enforcing the follow-on put some pressure on us. Thank god for the weather. The ground staff did a fantastic job. I wanted the bowlers to have a bit of rest so not enforcing the follow-on was an easy decision. The tough one was to declare before Davey (Warner) got a hundred. He'd played really well and deserved it. I'm not big for personal milestones but he had played well. I talked to him on the morning and he wanted what was good for the team. Steve Rixon and Mike Young have done a fantastic job with us. This is still the toughest game in the world if you ask me. Finally the results are coming in for all the hard work we have been putting in. There is a lot of work to be done to become the No. 1 team in the world. That's a our goal

Mitchell Johnson:It's a pretty special performance. I was really excited about being back in the team. It got pretty loud here at the Adelaide Oval (when he was on a hat-trick). Thanks to the fans. I'm keeping the Mo for the rest of the series. I want to raise $50000 more for Men's health. Another hard 5 days coming up. We have to keep working hard.

Mitchell Johnson is the Man of the Match for his devastating spell of 7/40 in the first innings.

Cook:'We let a few chances go on the first day. We had a few opportunities and we didn't take them. Australia took them and I thought that was one of the main differences. Mitch has bowled well, bowled quickly. We got to look ourselves, our shot selection. Root played very well. He came out of the Test very well. We have to draw from that. We have to keep working hard, keep believing in us and we are the only ones who can turn it around. I would like to thank all the England supporters and The Barmy Army for coming out and supporting us
Australia beat England by 218 runs and they are 2-0 up in the series.
