The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Super 12 began, in Oman, on 17th October 2021. There will be 45 T20Is played in the Tournament with the Final being played on November 14th 2021

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 Super 12 will be an intense competition. All the teams are well prepared ahead of the World Cup. Indian players have had enough practice playing on the pitches of the UAE during the IPL, while Pakistan will relish the fact that the UAE has been their home ground for a long time. Many West Indies players have also participated in the IPL and they have a good power hitting prowess to subdue any team. Australia performed very well in the warm up match against New Zealand and look all set to dominate the world stage. England on the other hand is a little out of sorts and may not be at their best going into the Super 12 stage. Recently, in an interview with Betway West Indian Ian Bishop put England, India, New Zealand and Pakistan all in the mix with, of course, the West Indies. Let’s take a look at which teams we think will make it to the Semi-Finals.

4 teams that should make to the Semi-Finals ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021:

1. India- They look like a very balanced side for the T20 World Cup. The inclusion of young players like Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav will only boost their chances to make it to the Semi-Finals. The likes of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja can tear apart any bowling lineup in the world with their hitting prowess. KL Rahul seems to be in the form of his life and he will be vested with the responsibility of providing the team with an ideal start. The bowling attack also looks settled with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami hitting their form in the recently concluded IPL 2021. India are certainly strong contenders for making it to the Semi-Finals.

2. Pakistan- The return of Hasan Ali to the international side boosts Pakistan’s bowling by a fair degree. He can also come handy with the bat when required. Shaheen Shah Afridi will also be rolling up his sleeves to deliver his best in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Pakistan have played quite a lot in UAE due to the International teams denying to visit Pakistan. This is one more reason why Pakistan have a home advantage over other teams in the World T20. Fakhar Zaman also seems to have found his form in the warm up games. If he gets going, Pakistan will have greater chances to make it to the Semi-Finals. The likes of Shadab Khan and Asif Ali are more than capable of providing the acceleration in the middle order. Pakistan’s overall team combination looks rock solid and they have great chances to make it to the top 4.

3. West Indies- There aren’t many teams in the world that can match up to the six hitting ability of the West Indies side. Kieron Pollard is leading a very strong side as West Indies go on to defend their title in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Shimron Hetmyer played very well in the recently concluded IPL 2021 and it will only help the chances of West Indies in the tournament. Nicholas Pooran can up the tempo when needed and also play sensibly to win matches for his team. The return of Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle will add experience to the West Indies side. Andre Russell will also be itching to get his hands on the bat and play some unforgettable knocks in the tournament. West Indies have a great chance to make it to the Semi-Finals.

4. South Africa- South Africa have got a formidable bowling lineup including the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje and Keshav Maharaj. Rabada and Nortje participated in the IPL 2021 and played an important role in Delhi Capital’s advance to the qualifiers. Rassie Van der Dussen has given a glimpse of what he can do in the warm up match against Pakistan. Quinton de Kock and David Miller are also phenomenal strikers of the cricket ball. South African side look very balanced and are set to beat top teams in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
