Virat Kohli felt India's middle-order collapse was one of the key reasons behind their four-run loss against Australia in the first T20I in Brisbane on Wednesday

"We started well with the ball but then Maxwell changed the game, then we again started well in the chase before a middle-order fumble. Karthik and Pant got us going yet again but Pant's departure changed the game," said Kohli, at the post-match presentation, according to a News18 report.

Praising Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik, he added the team needs to move on quickly. "We don't have much time to think of things. Good thing as well as a bad thing when you haven't won the game. You just move on to the next game," Kohli went on to say.

Meanwhile, Dhawan, who smashed a brilliant 76 from 42 balls, felt missed chances in the field also cost India a lot.

"Of course missed chances in the field had their own impacts. The dropped catch and missed run out opportunity but that is part and parcel of the game and we took it in our stride. We conceded a few extra run but otherwise we played well," said Dhawan.

Praising Adam Zampa, who claimed 2 for 22, Dhawan admitted, "Zampa was influential in this game and his statistics were very good. We needed momentum and he took wickets that moment. From there the game got a bit more away from us when Rahul and Kohli were dismissed.”
