Royal Challengers Bangalore look good to enter into the play offs after keeping hosts Deccan Chargers down to a modest 132/7 on what is a two-paced pitch at Hyderabad. The hosts would have got a much lesser total than that but for a late surge from JP Duminy who scored 74 from 53 balls (with 4 fours and 5 sixes).

Everything went according to the script for RCB as the Chargers put into bat first after losing the toss struggled at 20 for 3 in 4.2 overs. Skipper Kumar Sangakkara (15 from 22 balls) tried to build the innings but holed out off Muralitharan leaving DC at 51 for 4 in 11.1 overs.

JP DuminyIt was the 71-run stand for the fifth wicket between JP Duminy and Parthiv Patel that got DC on the track but only to get to a modest total. Parthiv Patel lasted 21 balls for his 16 while Duminy got the big shots going, especially three sixes off a Murali over towards the end.

P Parameswaran with 1/12 in 3 overs and R Vinay Kumar with 3/22 in 4 overs bowled particularly well for the visitors.
