England batted poorly against a Pakistan Cricket Board XI in their Second Three-Day Warm-Up match at the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai. Barring a solid century from opener Alastair Cook, the rest of the English batsmen struggled to come up with a big score. England XI posted 269 for 9 before declaring their innings to test their bowlers at the fag end of the opening day’s play. PCB XI finished the day at 23 for no loss in 8 overs.

Alastair Cook scored 133It was a great day for young pacer Mohammad Talha as he picked up four wickets while leg spinner Yasir Shah did even better claiming five wickets. Alastair Cook as mentioned before was the top scorer of the English innings scoring 133 from 260 balls with 10 fours. Apart from Cook, Kevin Pietersen with 38 (from 75 balls with 5 fours) and Wicket Keeper Matt Prior with 46 (from 57 balls with 7 fours) spent some time in the middle.
