Over 40.0

Clarke: I think the bowlers did a fantastic job on that surface and then the batters did their part as well. It is pretty good to bat on when you come in first but is was a touch two paced. We are fielding well and that's a real positive. David was outstanding, his knock was brilliant. I think the selectors are going to give me Perth off but I will be back for the Australia Day at Adelaide.

Cook: The first ten overs we played alright but you can't afford to lose that many wickets. Everyone got 20s and 30s but someone needed a big score. Bresnan batted well to get us past 240. We've got to try and win a game now. Every time we play here it gives us some information, it will be useful for the youngsters ahead of the World Cup.

Warner: It was good to run Bell out. All the work with Mike Young is paying off. It's been fantastic that I am able to show ,y true potential and I hope it continues. Credit to the groundstaff, they prepared a good pitch. Thanks to all the Sydney crowd for turning up.

David Warner is the Man of the Match
