India clinched a low scoring thriller at Delhi to avoid an embarrassing cleansweep against their arch rivals. Needing just 168 to win, Pakistan stuttered big time to lose the Third and Final ODI by 10 runs. The Indian victory was scripted by new boys – Bhuvneshwar Kumar and debutant Shami Ahmed while Ishant Sharma raised his game to help MS Dhoni to defend such a low total.
Batting first, the Indian top order failed again and the hosts could only put up a total of 167. Saeed Ajmal took five wickets once the major damage was done by the seamers. Everybody expected a cakewalk for Pakistan but it was something else with Bhuvaneshwar and Shami bowling superbly with the new balls to give India a glimmer of hope. Towards the end, Pakistan choked and lost too many wickets and played out too many dot balls to end up on the losing side.
MS Dhoni surprisingly got the Man of the Match though he only 36. The Player of the Series was Nasir Jamshed for his two centuries. |

Hafeez wasn't interested and an alert Raina fires an accurate throw which hits the stumps at the batting end which at the same time were disturbed by Dhoni's glove. However, there is enough time for MSD to take off one stump.
